OSMO Polyx Oil (High Solid)
High-solids version ("The Original Hardwax Oil")
Osmo Polyx-Oils are hardwearing and extremely durable. For interior use only.
Preserves the look and feel of natural wood.
Economical: 2.5 liters covers approx. 300 square feet over 2 coats (approx 90 sqft for a .75 liter can)
Benzene-free solvent — leaves nothing toxic behind when dry.
The surface becomes water-repellent, dirt-resistant and resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water, according to DIN 68861-1A (German Industry Standard)
Repairable: you can buff out scratches and feather in new finish. No need to strip and refinish the entire floor/surface. Also, use the Maintenance Kit, Liquid Wax Cleaner, and Wash & Care for easy upkeep and repair.
Microporous: while it is water repellent, the finish allows the floor to breathe. This is very useful for using in wetter places like kitchens.
Apply with the OSMO Floor Brush or by buffer. Check out the videos below.
AVAILABLE IN FOUR VERSIONS:
Matte (#3031/3055) is very low sheen, almost "dead" finish.
Satin/Matte (#3054) is the original sheen Polyx Oil, also the most popular. A low/medium level sheen level.
Gloss (#3011) adds more gloss sheen to the finish. It is not high-gloss, more of a semi-gloss level sheen.
Neutral/Natural (#3041) is a transparent, matte finish with the goal of creating a neutral effect to minimize color change and preserve the natural character of wood. It is specifically geared to light-colored low-extractive wooden flooring and furniture–for a finish without the permanent wet look. However, please note, the desired results of the color tone may vary depending on the wood species.
