PaperStone is a sustainable composite material made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper, our own PetroFree™ phenolic resins and natural pigments.

As PaperStone ages it will assume a pleasing, lustrous, seasoned appearance that is an inherent characteristic of the material. This is a natural progression of a natural product, resulting in a beautifully soft, rich patina. The aging process takes time and, much like fine hardwood, a deep luster will develop in areas of heavier use.

PaperStone® is one of the few architectural solid surface materials certified to FSC® standards by the Rainforest Alliance.

Applications: interior countertops, wall cladding, conference tables, signs, cutting boards, window sills, and toilet partitions.

A high modulus of elasticity

Resistant to staining in kitchen applications

Heat resistant to 350°F and certified ‘food safe’ by NSF

Has been thoroughly tested and certified as non-detectable for formaldehyde by the most demanding test available, the so-called desiccant method test.

PaperStone is warm to the touch.

10 year manufacturer's warranty

Sheets come in standard sheet sizes, including:
  • 60" x 144" (5' x 12')
  • 60" x 96" (5' x 8')
  • 30" x 144" (2.5' x 12')
  • 30" x 96" (2.5' x 8')
The most popular thickness is 1", although 1/4", 3/8", 1/2",  3/4" and 1-1/4" are also available.

A note on the colors: Like all phenolic composites, PaperStone is subject to some color shifting with UV light exposure but, to the maximum extent possible, the coloring systems have been selected for color stability. The color of the finished panel is determined by the recycled paper type, the phenolic resin and the pigments and dyes that are used. Because of all of these factors and the natural tendency of phenolic resins to darken and 'yellow' over time, we cannot guarantee that color will match precisely batch-to-batch. We have instead chosen to let the natural progression of aging proceed to produce an authentic product that matches to your expectation of what a natural product is supposed to do.
