Hidden Fasteners, Hidden Strength
Unlike wall covering products that rely on individually glued or nailed pieces, StakWood’s patent pending StakLok™ configuration and offset joinery design allow individual boards to not only be secured to the wall, but also to each other – regardless of board width or thickness. This interlocking design also allows StakWood to span across most wall imperfections.
Ingredients You Can Pronounce, Air You Can Breathe
Along with aesthetic preferences, the movement towards natural material usage has been fueled by a focus on indoor air quality. StakWood contains no added urea formaldehyde, VOCs, iron oxide, silica, titanium dioxide, carbon black, or other nasty stuff found in some simulated stone veneer systems and other wall cladding products.
Looks Good, Does Good
StakWood is expertly crafted from fine, native Appalachian hardwoods, by a network of family-owned mills in Central Appalachia – one of the most biologically diverse, yet economically distressed regions in the U.S., and where the tree growth-to-harvest ratio is currently almost 2-1/2 : 1.
StakWood is largely made from mill remnants that typically would be exported to overseas furniture manufacturers because they are often too small or have too many character marks to be sold in the domestic graded lumber market. However, these unique character markings help give StakWood’s its signature look.

StakWood is often available as FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council™) certified – the gold standard for responsible forestry.
