ECO by Cosentino is the ideal green substitute for a quartz, "engineered stone" or natural stone counter. It can also be used for panels, shower walls, and thresholds.
Durable: Non-porous and does not require sealing. High performance against staining, scratching and scorching.
Cradle-to-Cradle Silver certified, which reflects: material use; material reutilization and design for the environment (considered to be 100% recyclable and has different levels of recycled content); renewable energy used in the manufacturing process; sustainable water usage and the conservation and restoration of water quality; and social responsibility policies regarding employment practices, operations, and business ethics.
Composed of 75% recycled materials, the raw materials used in ECO are primarily porcelain from tiles, sinks, toilets, china, and decorative elements; glass from consumer recycling practices; mirrors salvaged from houses, buildings and factories; crystallized ash from industrial furnace residuals; and stone scraps. Using all this recycled material not only reduces the waste stream, it also uses less energy than processing virgin materials.
The binder includes 22% corn-based resin.
During the manufacturing process, 94% of the water is recycled.
Greenguard Indoor Air Quality certified for low emissions at the Greenguard and Greenguard For Children & Schools Standards for Low Emitting Products.
NSF certified
