Warranty Policy
Amicus Green Building Center (AGBC) does not manufacture or design the materials it sells. As such, AGBC assumes no liability for materials sold, and makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the materials, or for the accuracy of any information provided by the manufacturer. All implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are hereby disclaimed and excluded from the terms of sale. Customer's sole and exclusive remedy shall be the repair or replacement of defective goods by the manufacturer in accordance with the manufacturer's customary warranty, or the credit of the purchase price to the customer's account, up to the maximum amount of the original purchase price.
Alteration of the original part, failure to follow instructions from the manufacturer, or failure to follow generally good accepted installation or fabricating practices will void any manufacturer's warranty and no credit will be issued. Material may be returned to AGBC only within the guidelines stated under the Return Policy. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the customer shall be solely liable for all labor, shipping, handling or other costs incurred in connection with returned or replacement materials. Customer waives all claims against AGBC relating to defective materials.
In no event, regardless of cause and regardless whether any other remedy provided herein fails, shall AGBC be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including without limitation, damage to other property of customer, cost of capital, cost of substitute material, loss of profits or opportunity, or claims by third parties for such damages. The maximum liability of AGBC shall be limited to the purchase price.
- Opened or tinted cans of paint, stains, finishes, caulks, adhesives, cleaners, and other consumables cannot be returned.
- In-stock flooring and sheetgoods are subject to a 25% restocking fee, boxes must not be opened, and must be in new resellable condition.
- Clearance items are final sale and not returnable.
- Special orders will not be returned to us, but we will follow the policy of the manufacturer and will facilitate your return to them, if they allow a return. Any restocking fees from the manufacturer and shipping fees will be collected on the manufacturer’s and shipper’s behalves.
- Custom orders are not returnable.
- Shipping fees are not refundable for shipping going to or from the customer.
With the understanding of the above, returns with an original sales receipt are allowed within 30 days of purchase:
- A purchase made by credit card will be refunded to the original credit card.
- A purchase up to $100 made by cash will be refunded in cash. A purchase over $100.00 will be refunded by check (refer to next bullet).
- A purchase made by a check that has cleared the 10-business day waiting period will be refunded by check within 10 days. If the check has not cleared the 10-business day waiting period will be refunded by check after the 10-business day waiting period has passed.
- A purchase made by a gift card will be refunded by debiting back to the gift card.
- A purchase made by store credit or gift certificate will be refunded as store credit.
Returns without a sales receipt:
- Purchases made within the past 30 days by credit, debit or check, we may be able to look up for you if you have a store account. If so, the above policy applies.
- If not, a store credit may be issued based on the lowest selling price.
Shipping Policy
We provide multiple options for delivery of your order. UPS Ground is our default option in most circumstances. Shipping costs depend on the options you choose, the size and weight of the item(s), and where the order is going. To estimate shipping costs, place an item in your cart and then click the Proceed to checkout button. On the order confirmation page, you can select different shipping options and preferences to see how the prices and delivery estimates change. Final shipping costs may change from the given estimate depending on the final dimensions and weight, as provided by the shipping provider.
In-stock items usually ship within one day of order date. We will inform you of any delays if they arise, and the expected lead-time for delivery of special orders.
