Vermont Naturals PolyWhey Exterior Clear Wood Finish provides a tough, element-repelling clear finish for decks, fences, railings, furniture, and other outdoor surfaces. May be used on new wood, pressure-treated wood and weathered wood. By using the strength of natural whey proteins and water-based resins, PolyWhey Exterior features several benefits:

Recommended Uses: Use PolyWhey Exterior Wood Finish on exterior wood decks, fences, siding, railings, outdoor furniture and other wood surfaces. May be used on new wood, pressure-treated wood, weathered wood, and previously coated wood.
Coverage: approximately 400 sq. ft. per gallon on smooth surfaces. Approximately 200 sq. ft. per gallon on rough surfaces.
Application notes:
- Stir prior to use.
- Apply with a brush and/or spray gun (conventional or low-pressure system) without thinning. Thinning may result in reduced product performance. Apply a thin, even coat with the grain. Overlap brush/spray gun strokes and always maintain a wet edge. We recommend coating the end grain of all exposed boards.
- If desired, recoat in one hour in normal conditions. High humidity or low temperature may lengthen the dry time.
- Apply 2 coats for best performance.
- For best results, apply in temperatures between 65°-80° Fahrenheit and relative humidity 40%-60%. Allow 48 hours without precipitation for full product cure/dry time.
- Clean up with soap and hot water
Precautions: This product does not contain formaldehyde or other toxic ingredients that would require protective clothing. However, for those who are chemically sensitive or who will use product over a long period of time, we recommend wearing protective gloves and safety glasses with side shields.
