StonePeak Ceramic"s beautiful line of domestic tile features a growing list of sustainability features.
Several collections and colors have high percentage post-industrial recycled content. Furthermore, they have a goal of increasing the percentages of recycled content and procuring recycled materials from other sources, which increases the recycling market.
Made in Tennessee, USA, supporting domestic jobs and economic growth, and creating lower carbon footprint than imported products. Crossville is within 500 miles of the DC metro area.
Air Quality: StonePeak products are GREENGUARD Children and Schools Certified. They have no sealants, no waxes, no epoxies or man-made binders, and no artificial coloring agents. They will not offgas volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Lifelong Quality: With a hardness rating that is 30% harder than granite and a low porosity rating, StonePeak products are designed to last a lifetime.
Recycling Water and Raw Materials: StonePeak production is a closed-loop process that recycles 100% of raw material and water wastes back into the production cycle. All water from the polishing line is recycled back into the production line. In 2008 alone their recycling efforts allowed them to reuse--and therefore conserve--approximately 6 million gallons of water and 12,500 tons of raw materials.
Recycled Supplies: StonePeak uses materials containing a percentage of recycled content whenever possible, including carton boxes for finished products, cardboard packaging separators on pallets, and recycled paper in all offices.
Anti-Pollution Devices: StonePeak"s manufacturing facility uses anti-pollution devices that far exceed the minimum standards required by law.
Material Sourcing: Primary raw materials are sourced from within 500 miles of the Crossville plant, reducing the embodied energy of the finished products.
Uses: most patterns are appropriate for interior and exterior floor and wall applications (refer to product specification sheets for details).
