Safe#39;n#39;Sound is a stone wool insulation product for use in interior wall partitions of residential wood and steel stud construction where superior fire resistance and acoustical performance are required. This non-combustible, lightweight product has excellent acoustical dampening properties and it is dimensionally stable which makes it ideal for friction fit into walls, ceiling and floor applications. The product is chemically inert, therefore it will not promote corrosion.

Applications: designed for interior wall, ceilingáand floor applications.

Made of basalt rock and recycled slag (a by-product of steel production that would otherwise go to landfill). Recycled content is minimum 40%.

Easy to Cut and Install for Optimal Fit.

Water repellent yet vapor permeable: Stone wool is water repellent yet vapor permeable. Roxul insulation does not absorb water or hold moisture. Its unique stone wool orientation is ideal for repelling and draining water away, and will maintain its insulating value.

Completely resistant to mold, mildew, rot, bacterial growth, and corrosion.

Fire Resistant: Its unique composition won't burn or release toxic gases or smoke when exposed to high heat. Roxul offers a barrier that can delay the spread of fire and provide your family with precious extra minutes to escape. And it can withstand temperatures of up to 2150°F (1177°C)--well above heat levels of typical house fires.
