New River Concrete Countertops are made of sand and gravel from the New River, which is collected during regular, low impact dredging to maintain two dams in Grayson County, Virginia.

This beautiful aggregate has a low embodied energy and does not require mining or long distance hauling. The countertops have recycled content, including recycled iron oxide to stain some of the concrete mixes. The countertops are ground, polished, and sealed to make them heat resistant and virtually stain resistant.
