Our Black Walnut is 100% FSC-Certified, which is a critical sign for any virgin wood material to show that it has been sustainably grown and harvested. These floors are usually sourced from the upper Midwest. This supports American jobs and carries lower embodied energy and carbon footprints.
Dimensions: 3/4" solid thick with tongue and groove (T&G). Random lengths from 1.5' - 8' (average 4'). Available in 3", 4", 5", and random widths (random width is generally preferred for optimal material yield and a true historic look).
Available in Select and Country grades.
The Country grade will have slightly more knots, streaks and other markings, but is still quite clean.
Available unfinished or prefinished. The prefinished has micro-beveled edges and a 35% gloss aluminum oxide-based finish to perfectly match our prefinished medallions. The advanced finishing process balances clear presentation of the wood grain with optimal durability.
