The Envirocycle Composter/Composteamaker is the first composter in the world to collect liquid compost tea, a rich organic plant food much appreciated by gardeners. It produces quality compost more quickly and easily than conventional composters by its rolling and mixing action which keeps the ingredients well mixed and aerated. It is specifically designed to simplify the recycling of kitchen and garden refuse. The compost and compostea can be used for house plants, outdoor plants, trees, gardens and lawns.
Features:
- No messy digging to turn the compost pile. Simply give the drum a few turns each week, and your compost remains well mixed
- Lockable lid prevents access to the compost by small animals
- Ideally suited to todayÆs urban lifestyle, and is perfect in the garden or garage, on a balcony, or on a patio.
- It has 2 main parts: the drum, which is indented for easy gripping and rolling, and a base that the barrel sits on--making it easy to spin
- The compostea (liquid) can be collected in the base, or you can let it direct drain into the ground
- Aeration occurs through small openings on the drum
- Use year-round
- Dimensions: Height: 30.5" x Width: 25.5" x Depth: 20.25"
- Boxed unit size: Height; 32" x Width: 21" x Depth: 27'; Weight: 23 pounds
- Composting capacity of 1 cycle: 7 cubic feet (0.2 cubic meters & 19 Liters of Compostea). The base is able to collect up to 5 gallons of liquid fertilizer or compost tea
- Made of solid high-density polyethelene, which is UV-resistent and highly recyclable.
Operating guidelines:- It takes approximately 4-6 weeks to produce 1 cycle of mature compost.
- 5-10 composting cycles are possible each year. That is 450-900 pounds of solid compost each year.
- The maturation time of composting cycle will be faster if the composter is rotated more often and the materials inside are small in size.
- To use the compostea for plants, mix 1 part of compostea with 10 parts of water
- 50% of dry/brown materials and 50% of wet/green materials should be put in the composter. The contents must be kept moist, never wet.
