ECO by Cosentino is the ideal green substitute for an "engineered stone" or natural stone counter. It can also be used for panels and shower walls.
Features:
Durable: Non-porous and does not require sealing. High performance against staining, scratching and scorching.
Cradle-to-Cradle Silver certified, which reflects: material use; material reutilization and design for the environment (considered to be 100% recyclable and has different levels of recycled content); renewable energy used in the manufacturing process; sustainable water usage and the conservation and restoration of water quality; and social responsibility policies regarding employment practices, operations, and business ethics.
The raw materials used in ECO are primarily: porcelain from tiles, sinks, toilets, china, and decorative elements; glass from consumer recycling practices; mirrors salvaged from houses, buildings and factories; crystallized ash from industrial furnace residuals; and stone scraps. Using all this recycled material not only reduces the waste stream, it also uses less energy than processing virgin materials.
The binder includes 22% corn-based resin.
During the manufacturing process, 94% of the water is recycled.
Greenguard Indoor Air Quality certified for low emissions at the Greenguard and Greenguard For Children & Schools Standards for Low Emitting Products.
NSF certified
Available in 10 designer colors:
The Green Collection is composed of colors containing 75% post-industrial recycled raw materials.
- The colors Polar Cap, Crystal Ash and Starlight are made mainly from recycled mirror.
- The colors Luna and Crystal Sand are composed mainly from recycled glass and porcelain.
- Black Forest is composed mostly of recycled glass and quarried stone.
The

General maintenance: Clean all spills immediately. To clean the surface, use a gentle, "green" pH-balanced house cleaner (such as Seaside Naturals, Seventh Generation, or Earth"s Best) or regular soap and water and a cloth. Do not use any chemical sealant products. Refer to the Care and Maintenance Instructions (download below) for details.
Order process: Our general ECO process works like this: Submit your drawings/schematics to us by email, fax or bring them in to us. We will prepare a quote that includes materials, templating, fabrication, and installation. If it is acceptable and you place an order, a templating session is scheduled with our fabrication contractor, usually within a few days. Installation is usually scheduled a about one week after the template.
Pricing Guidelines: Pricing varies on the pattern and your project layout. You can usually figure pricing to be $65-85/sf, including materials, templating, fabrication, and installation.
