CFLs Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) have been around for 20+ years but have made great strides in quality in the last 8-10 years. Light quality is warmer (like an incandescent lamp); no more flickering; instant-on to minimize warm-up periods; long life; and prices have come way down. Many styles are even sleeker and thinner to fit nicer in lamps. Because of the mercury and other chemicals in CFLs you cannot throw them in the trash--they need to be recycled. You can recycle them here and we'll give you 10% off your replacement lights--including CFLs and LEDs.
