American Pride Multi-Purpose Primer is a premium quality, 100% acrylic primer that is formulated to provide outstanding coverage, adhesion, mold and mildew resistance, blister resistance, and stain blocking over a variety of interior and exterior surfaces. This product has excellent flow and leveling with minimal odor.

Applications: Interior Surfaces: New or previously painted wood, plywood, ceiling tile, Formica, Masonite, ceramic tile and cured plaster. Also suitable as a sealer and primer for use under new wall coverings and can be used as a primer coat over existing wall coverings. Exterior Surfaces: New or previously painted wood, aluminum siding, hardboard siding, shingles, shakes, concrete, masonry and brick.

American Pride (also known as Mythic) is a fantastic line of acrylic latex paints.

Features:

• No Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), exempted solvents, acetone, ammonia, crystalline silica, formaldehyde, formaldehyde precursors (chemicals that create formaldehyde once they enter the atmosphere), or other known toxic materials or suspected carcinogens. Additionally, the colorants we use in our paints have no VOCs nor Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APE), which are surfactants (detergents) which can be oestrogenic (hormone disrupting) and bioaccumulative (they increase concentration up the food chain).

Coverage: One gallon covers approximately 350-400 square feet in one coat depending on surface porosity and texture.

Dry time: Dries to the touch within 2 hours in most circumstances. General rule of thumb: ready to paint over in 4 hours.

Storage: Properly stored unopened cans have a shelf life of at least two years. Because they do not use toxic fungicides, AP paints are subject to microbial contamination if painting tools are dipped directly into the paint can. Therefore, we recommend pouring the required amount of paint out into a separate container and immediately resealing the paint can for storage in a cool, dry place. To prolong shelf life, keep between 45°F and 120°F. Do not allow to freeze.Weather conditions should be considered when shipping water-based paint products in the winter.

Washing your walls: It is recommended to use a mild "green" liquid dish detergent and water. Do not use harsh cleaning solutions such as ammonia-based window cleaners or abrasive powders. Use a soft sponge and move in light circular motions. May be washed 30 days after application.

While people with chemical sensitivities often successfully use AP paints, they should always test before applying. Individual results may always occur.
